MF 265 Guide

Massey Ferguson 265 Air Filter Cross Reference

The MF 265 uses a dry-type two-stage air cleaner. The outer element (primary) removes most dust and debris; the inner safety element (secondary) catches anything that gets past the outer.

Outer element: OEM 1447082M91. Replace every 500 hours or when the restriction indicator shows red — whichever comes first. In dusty field conditions, inspect every 100 hours.

Inner safety element: OEM 1860841M1. Replace every third outer element change, or any time the outer element is breached. Never clean the inner element — replace it.

Cleaning the outer element: Tap gently to dislodge loose dust. Do not wash or use compressed air from the inside out. Inspect the element for holes or cracks against a light before reinstalling. Discard if damaged.

Sealing: Ensure the rubber seal on the outer element seats fully against the housing. Any air leak bypasses filtration entirely and will score the cylinder bores within hours.
