MF 65 Guide

Massey Ferguson 65 Air Filter Cross Reference

The MF 65 uses a dry-type air cleaner with a cylindrical paper element. The same element fits the MF 135, MF 2135, MF 2200, and MF 3165, so parts availability is good even decades after production ended.

Air filter element: OEM 1029945M92 (also listed as 1026137M91). This is the primary filtration element for both engine options.

Engine coverage: The Perkins A4.203 diesel and Continental Z134 gas versions of the MF 65 share the same air cleaner housing and element. The housing mounts on the right side of the engine bay with a single wing nut on top.

Replacement tips: Loosen the wing nut and lift the canister lid straight up. Pull the old element out and wipe the inside of the housing with a damp rag before dropping in the new one. Inspect the rubber seal at the base of the element — if it is cracked or compressed flat, air will bypass the filter and send dust straight into your engine.

Change every 200 hours under normal conditions. In dusty field work or dry-weather plowing, check the element every 50 hours. Never attempt to wash and reuse a paper element.
