MF 275 Guide

Massey Ferguson 275 Oil Filter Cross Reference

The MF 275 and MF 285 use the Perkins AD4.236 four-cylinder diesel engine. The spin-on oil filter OEM number is 1447082M1 — the same filter used on the MF 265. If you have cross-reference data for the MF 265, it applies directly to the MF 275 and MF 285.

MF 285 compatibility: The MF 285 uses the same AD4.236 engine as the MF 275 and shares the same oil filter. All cross-references listed here fit both models.

Change interval: Every 200 hours or annually, whichever comes first. Reduce to 100-hour intervals in dusty or high-output conditions.

Oil capacity: Approximately 8.5 quarts (8.0 litres) with filter. SAE 15W-40 diesel engine oil. In sustained temperatures below -10°C (14°F), 10W-30 is acceptable.

Pakistan and South Asia: The MF 275 is one of the most common tractors in Pakistan and India. Fuel and oil quality varies between markets. Use a reputable brand SAE 15W-40 with API CF rating or better. Change intervals of 150 hours are advisable in high-load conditions with variable fuel quality.

Installation: Lightly oil the filter gasket. Hand-tighten to seat, then 3/4 turn firm. Do not over-tighten — the spin-on mount is cast alloy and will strip if force is applied.
