Massey Ferguson 50 Continental Z134 Tune-Up Specs
The MF 50 North American gas variant uses the Continental Z134, a 134 cubic inch (2.2 litre) four-cylinder OHV engine. Same engine as the MF 35 gas variant.
Ignition timing: 6 degrees BTDC, static (range 4-8 degrees).
Point gap: 0.017-0.022 in (0.43-0.56 mm). Dwell 66-72 degrees.
Spark plugs: Champion D-16. Gap at 0.025 in (0.63 mm).
Valve clearances (cold): Intake 0.013 in (0.33 mm). Exhaust 0.015 in (0.38 mm).
Firing order: 1-3-4-2, number 1 at the front.
Oil capacity: 4.5 quarts without filter, 5 quarts with filter. SAE 15W-40.
Oil filter: Same 1014219M92 cartridge element as the Z145. Wix 51010, Fram PB50, Fleetguard LF607.
Torque specs (ft-lbs): Head bolts: 70-75. Main bearings: 85-95. Connecting rods: 35-40.
